Introduction

The concept of the all-electric and smart homestead represents a revolutionary shift in how we approach living sustainably and efficiently. Combining advanced technology with environmentally conscious practices, these homes are designed to maximize energy efficiency, reduce carbon footprints, and enhance the quality of life for their occupants. With a growing array of federal and state incentives, including IRS 25A and 25D, there's never been a better time to consider transitioning to an all-electric and smart homestead.

What is an All-Electric Homestead?

An all-electric homestead is a residential property that relies solely on electricity for all its energy needs, eliminating the use of fossil fuels such as natural gas or propane. This approach simplifies energy management and opens the door to leveraging renewable energy sources like solar and wind power.

I used to freak out about the concept of the all-electric home. But now, I have completed my Electric Education and Consulting foundation course, so I have come a full180 degrees around. I am a convert, too, on the use of conduction stove and cooktop technology!

Now, I’m now a fervent supporter of saving our planet while we upgrade our sorely out-of-date (and energy-leaking) homes. I can even tell you about my new passion for the bio-ethanol fireplaces which are condoned under the concept of the all-electric home.
