The principles of permaculture guide us with time and resource constraint management. It’s always fun to dream, but in any homesteading operation you need to pare down your dreams and figure out your quick wins (i.e. sustainable revenue streams).

Here’s an excerpt from our business plans to help spark your ideas…

Market Gardening Orientation

We grow a range of mixed vegetables, greens, micro-greens, herbs, perennials, flowers, and other produce from season to season. Although we are not a “certified” organic farm we do use strict organic methods and materials. This means that we use NO pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. By growing food organically, we ensure food safety, high nutrition, and great-tasting qualities.

The traditional name for the production of mixed vegetables is “market gardening”. This is our core competency and the “raison d’etre” (reason for being) for our business. Market gardening is the basic production capability or “glue” that holds all other products and services in alignment with our 501c3 non-profit mission.
